Krista has over ten years of agriculture economics related work experience in various roles from farm tax accountant to loan portfolio analyst, from farm policy research analyst to her current position as lead economist for a national commodity organization. Agriculture extends beyond a career for Krista, it’s also a way of life. Krista and her husband own and operate a seed business and actively farm with his family where they raise crops, livestock, and four kids on the farm. Agriculture economics has importance in those businesses, but Krista has experienced how economic principals also tie into life, leadership, and purpose.
